General Classroom Rules and Expectations
1. Don't WHINE, don't COMPLAIN, and don't make EXCUSES.
2. Students are expected to use appropriate language at all times in the classroom.
3. Students are expected to put all electronic devices away during class. Examples:
- Cell phones are not permitted to be used at any time in the classroom. They must be put away and shut off; they should not be sitting out on the desk.
4. Students must always obey and respect the rules of the school and its handbook.
- This includes, in particular, the dress code.
5. Students are not allowed to leave the classroom within the first and last 5 minutes of class.
6. Students must always get permission from the teacher to leave the classroom.
7. Students are expected to respect the teacher, classmates, school property, and themselves.
8. Students are expected to listen attentively when the teacher is talking.
9. Students are expected to be quiet when they are supposed to be working.
10. Students are expected to be on time to class!
11. Students are expected to sit in their assigned seat.
*Students must be in dress code. They will be checked daily for ID's and appropriate school clothing.
*Students can NOT take multiple classes at one time.

Music
Students may listen to music while they work on their class. However, it must be through head phones and the head phones must be plugged into the computer. Students may not listen to music from their phones or any other device. All devices are to be strictly put away at all times.
If students forget to bring head phones, they may borrow some but must trade their ID for it.

Leaving the Classroom
When leaving the classroom, students must fill out their planner with the day, time, their name, and where they are going. If they do not have their planner, they should fill out a slip of paper or a pass slip and present it to the teacher for the teacher to sign.
Testing and Pride Cards
Pride Card = 1 FREE test question
· Only 1 PRIDE Card may be used per test.
· Can use during or after the test.
· PRIDE Cards can only be used on tests consisting of 15 questions or more.

All tests must be taken in the classroom and with permission from the instructor!
Students will be given 3 attempts to pass a Mastery Test. If they fail to reach 80% on all three attempts, they will then be required to take notes.
