World War II Propaganda Posters- Due April 14th
Students will create WWII propaganda posters aimed to increase support for the US military. The posters can include many different forms of support sought by the US government like (food, war bonds, recruitment, women in the workplace, etc.)
The poster can have words, illustrations, or a mixture of both. Students may look in the textbook for examples.

Summary of Evidence- Due April 2nd
This will be a continuation of the Historical Investigation. The Plan of Investigation should have been completed. The Summary of evidence should be between 500-600 words.
This section should consist of factual material that is: • drawn from sources that are appropriate for the investigation • correctly and consistently referenced • organized thematically or chronologically. Causes of Great War Artifact- Due March 6
Research the cause of the Great War (aka World War I). As you research, put the information into an outline to help yourself and then develop an artifact (of your choice) to explain what you've learned about the causes of the Great War.

Plan of Investigation- Due March 4
Sign up for Turnitin.com and register for my class. Please email me and ask for the information.
Choose a research question for your plan of investigation. See what should be included below. It should be between 100-150 words. A Plan of the investigation Students should: • state the topic of the investigation, which should be formulated as a question • define the scope of the investigation • explain the method of the investigation. Test #1- February 20
This test will consist of one question which students will need to respond to with a well-developed essay. For this first test, students will know the question ahead of time. The question will be: "Analyze the causes of the French Revolution of the late 18th century."

Jigsaw Presentations- February 16
Students will each receive a copy of the Topic Outline for the chapter. This outline lists all the topics that need to be covered and learned by the students. Students will work as groups to research the information and explain it in an artifact. This artifact will act as evidence that the information has been learned. The artifact can come in multiple forms that should be chosen by the group.
Students will work independently on their portion of the topic outline and create their own artifact. Then the last day they will present a 5 minute presentation over their portion of the topic outline to their classmates.

Chapter 5 Individual Presentations- Start November 17
Students will give individual presentations over topics they chose to research. They spent all last week preparing and creating the presentation, and they will need to give a 5 minute presentation over them. Students will have been given the opportunity to choose in which form they present the material.

This will be the last segment of the group presentations. Students will have had time in class to prepare their lessons and will need to present the material they were designated in a manner in which they have chosen.
Presentations should be 5-10 minutes and can be given in a fashion chosen by the students. Some examples include a Power Point, Prezi, reenactment, created video, poster, etc. *Students gone during their presentation will need to write a 2 page summary of their section to make up for their absence. |

Students are assigned to a Home Group in class. Each group will create an outline over Geography, Religion, Achievements, Politics, Economy, or Social Structures. When groups are finished, they will turn them in using the form below. Each group needs to be sure everyone in the group has their name included in the outline.
